Question: Who or what caused the Big Bang?

That’s a really tough one. How can you get someting out of nothing?

When I was studying black holes about 30 years ago, Hawking was one of the scientists I learned most from.
Hawking and another scientist called Roger Penrose proved using mathematics that black holes and the Big Bang were the same in lots of ways. So you could learn about one by studying the other.
Cosmology is a difficult but fascinating subject and anybody who says they understand it all is just wrong.
it is possible that the universe is way more complex than the human brain so we’re just not smart enough to understand it. But most scientists wouldn’t agree.
