• Question: Why is it difficult for someone with dark hair to dye it light, blonde, for example?

      It depends if you are dying it or bleaching it. Bleaching will actaully remove the natural hair pigment and turn any hair colour white/blonde. Dying is a bit like covering the natural colour up. So covering dark hair with lighter is difficult as the stronger, darker colour of the natural hair comes through.

      Is it difficult? THere are plenty of chemicals that would do it. (Don’t recommend it though – have seen the photos of when it goes horribly wrong). The agents in the dye remove the pigment from the hair – which is just what it is like in the hair of blonde people, (well grey haired people anyway)!
