      It’s mostly chemistry with a bit of biology, so a bit beyond a physicist like me.

      The parts of it that do fascinate me are the probabilities you get from DNA evidence, and how wrong even smart lawyers can be about these.

      Yet another reason for getting more science out to more people, I guess, because if judges and juries make mistakes you can get miscarriages of justice.

      All of science is a bit like forensic stuff – using the clues (each experiment) to work out what really happens (or in the case of forensic stuff – what happened). CSI is great too.
