My work harms some bacteria (with a bit of luck). Doesn’t harm animals or trees though.

No it never has. I’m a vegetarian and a bit of a Buddhist. I don’t deliberately hurt or kill any animals for any reason.

Absolutely not! I’m a big animal lover as I come from the country and my parents have chickens and ducks. Unfortunately where I live now I don’t have enough room for any animals. My work is done in a laboratory or on a special site and doesn’t involve animals in any way. I have worked with Police Sniffer Dogs, but they are spoiled rotten.

Trees are a difficult one. I really hope I don’t harm them. Sometimes when I do chemistry experiments in the laboratory I create vapours which can be quite harmful to the environment, but I have a special fume cupboard where I do these experiments. The fume cupboard filters and extracts all the harmful chemicals so that the vapour that gets into the atmosphere is nice and clean and doesn’t hurt trees!

no, I only study people and put them in brain scanners to see how their brains work.
