• Question: If the sun suddenly went from the sky (switched off), would... A: The place outside looks as though the sun is still there (the sky itself looks like daytime), but no visible sun was actually in the sky. B: Everything blacks out except the sun itself - which eventually also disappears. C: Everything immediately blacks out. D: Everything blacks out after a period of time.

      D – everything blacks out after a period of time – light takes time to get to earth so it would take the time light takes to get to us for us to know that this has happened. (We’re assuming though that the only source of light is the sun – what about the sun from other galaxies – would we be able to see that light?).
