  I write about everything. Nowadays I get paid by newspapers and universities for writing about science and education.
  
  But I also write other stuff for fun that I haven’t managed to sell yet – like short stories and a novel and poems.
  
  Only one of those I don’t expect ever to sell is the poems. I don’t do many and they’re rubbish.
  
  My sister is a good poet, though. I’m hoping she writes more poems when she stops being a teacher.
