I do use a bunsen burner, but the one I’ve got is doing OK right now and I’ve not much need for a telescope (although one at home would be cool). I would like to use the money to get some people to help me put together a discussion forum for patients with cystic fibrosis in order to let them know about research in CF. Problem is people with CF can’t get together as they’ll catch each others infections, so an internet conference-type thing seems a good way – what do you think?

I would use the money for a science charity to be honest. I wouldn’t really use a giant telescope and I think that is against the rules. I already have a giant bunsen burner 🙂

A huge bunsen burner sounds great. I wonder how big it could be for £500?

But I’d spend the £500 on my website Real Science http://www.realscience.org.uk/ which is all about bringing the latest discoveries in science to young people.

I already have a couple of smart web designers, who live high up in Spain’s Sierra Nevada mountains, working on it, trying to make it easier to use.

Because they’re good I have to pay them.

But I’m still thinking about your bunsen burner idea 🙂
